May 27, 2008In the late 19th century, Alexander Stanhope St George had a phenomenal idea to connect two major continents via an incredible tunnel of mirrors—the Telectroscope. This optical device allows the viewer in London to see his counterpart in New York, and vice-versa. Construction was resumed by his great-grandson, Paul St George, and is on exhibit until the 15th of June. If you’re in either city, take a quick peak across the pond.
