of your move

June 29, 2008

Hard to believe that these green halls have been around for an entire year (and a Leap Year at that). After posting over 365 things to be jealous of, better digs were certainly in order. Of course, this means all RSS feeds and bookmarks will need to be updated and as much of a hassle as that can be, faith dictates you’ll make those changes. With new housing comes new paint and furnishings, so look forward to enhanced improvements and additions (such as submitting your own jealousies) to the new “i am jealous” over at the new iamjealo.us site.

of your 365

June 29, 2008

365 (+1) days of being jealous. What better way to show a year of posts from this site than through a clever bit of scripting that creates a cloud of words from provided text (in this case, from many of the posts seen here). Wordle creates beautiful word clouds. What does your cloud say?

of your postman

Junk mail sucks. Why? Because it looks like junk and it is poorly managed. You can avoid having your email marketing campaign go the way of processed mystery meat by using better, smarter tools and MailChimp is ready to create, deliver and manage everything. So easy, a monkey could do it.

of your baited

June 16, 2008

Known internationally as “4-1-9” fraud, after the section of the Nigerian penal code which addresses fraud schemes, is perpetuated by individuals seeking quick monetary gain often at great expense to victims. Those clever emails you receive stating you can get a cut of thousands and thousands of dollars are carried out by these Advance Fee Fraud monsters. 419 Eater purposefully bait these individuals to humiliate and expose. The check’s in the mail.

of your doom

June 6, 2008

On December 21, 2012, our world, as we know it, will be forever changed. So says Marshall Masters—a leading proponent regarding a mystery planet (a brown dwarf binary twin of the Sun) that is destined to cross paths with our own solar system. Bruce Willis can’t save you now.

of your neutrality

June 3, 2008

Net neutrality is a principle, in a very basic form, that the internet should be free (no restrictions or extra charges on websites of all kinds). Apparently, major ISPs have decided to band together and charge the internet like cable providers charge for television stations. By the year 2012. Your world, denied.

of your friend

June 1, 2008

Video game nerds… er… players can often be shy on friends. The Wii attempts to open your living room up to new friends to play exciting and wonderful games. Unless you know them personally, however, you’re not likely to ever get to play with them so the circle of lonely is complete once more. With MapWii, you can find local friends ready to challenge you in your next race, heroic mission storming enemy lines or whatever else you like. Let your Wii get around.

of your meme

May 26, 2008

The internet is nothing if entertaining. You can be famous for just about anything, with absolutely no effort, merely by posting it onto the internet. Known as memes, Weezer has a rather clever video that actually showcases some of the most well known memes. All your hilarity are belong to us.

of your adventure

May 25, 2008

Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs) follow a rather specific formula: create character, pick a “job” and level up in 3D world. Maple Story, on the other hand combines the escapism of role-play and the classic action of the 2D side-scroller. It’s the never ending coin-op arcade of awesome.

of your membership

With the proliferation of easy-to-use blogging and site creation tools available on the internet, just about everyone and their Egyptian Spiny Mouse have a site to call their own. So how do you know if it is actually worth a damn? 9rules.com has a rather good solution to weed out those undeserving the leaf. About three times a year, a new crop of blogs get sorted and added to the member roster. Quality over quantity, folks.
