May 20, 2008The internet is a repository for awesome imagery, but who wants to download all their favorites and try to sift through them later? With ffffound.com, you can bookmark these images and collect them to your hearts content and view them whenever you like (provided the original link lives on forever). I spy with my little eye…
of your perspective
May 6, 2008Since the Mercury missions, astronauts have been snapping images of the Earth with hand-held cameras. The Gateway to Astronaut Photography of Earth is the most complete repository of these images. The “Special Feature” being showcased is Cities at Night, a dramatic view of our largest cities that looks more like celestial imagery than civilized habitation. In space, no one can hear you say “Smile!”
of your slideshow
May 3, 2008Online photo albums can hold some of the most fantastic moments frozen in time for all to see. However, the display of those photos can be so cumbersome in it’s presentation, let alone the management of the album, that the images, themselves, lose much of their luster. Todd Dominey’s incredibly helpful bit of software for Flash and Lightroom makes creating and managing photo albums a virtual snap. Presentation is fantastically customizable and all this for a mere $25 (for the Flash version). Your vacation slideshow never looked so good.

April 21, 2008In 1961, several hundred Americans of incredible courage—known as Freedom Riders—went to bus and train stations in the South and challenged the segregation laws in place there. The above, extreme-version image was taken (5 exposures) and composited by “mapgoblin.” The technique is epitomized in a New York City skyline photo taken by Paulo Barcellos Jr. Say “Cheese.” Say “Cheese.” Say “Cheese.” Say “Cheese.” Say “Cheese.” …
of your composite
March 24, 2008Here’s another interesting idea spawned from the popular “What are you doing now” chat called twitter. You can submit a picture (or idea) and this clever fellow will convert it into a composite of avatars from twitter’s public timeline (using AndreaMosaic). Your tweet should be in pictures.
of your messaging
March 9, 2008There are countless ways to deliver your message to the world, be it via blog, photos or video. Unfortunately, you generally have to have access to a computer and serve your media to the masses while logged into the service you’re sharing on. Technology, once again, doesn’t disappoint and with Utterz you can accomplishe this easily through the use of your mobile device. Utterly fantastic.
of your photag
January 11, 2008Similar to Flickr, pikeo allows you to store your photos and apply tags to them so others can happen upon your images based on like tags/interests. Winning the Adobe Site of the Day for Oct. 20, 2006, pikeo seems fun at the least. Say… er, Tag “Cheese!”
