Online photo albums can hold some of the most fantastic moments frozen in time for all to see. However, the display of those photos can be so cumbersome in it’s presentation, let alone the management of the album, that the images, themselves, lose much of their luster. Todd Dominey’s incredibly helpful bit of software for Flash and Lightroom makes creating and managing photo albums a virtual snap. Presentation is fantastically customizable and all this for a mere $25 (for the Flash version). Your vacation slideshow never looked so good.

Thousands of individual people were tasked with reproducing 1 of 10,000 different images using a custom drawing tool. None knew of what their illustration would ultimately contribute. All were paid one cent for the item reproduced for a total of $100 spent overall. The final product is a video of all 10,000 pieces being drawn simultaneously to create a 100 dollar bill. Just a tiny slice of an incredible pie.

Here’s another interesting idea spawned from the popular “What are you doing now” chat called twitter. You can submit a picture (or idea) and this clever fellow will convert it into a composite of avatars from twitter’s public timeline (using AndreaMosaic). Your tweet should be in pictures.

Unfortunately, you generally have to have access to a computer and serve your media to the masses while logged into the service you’re sharing on.
